History
FEA Growers Group was formed in April 2010 to ensure that parties affected by recent Forestry Enterprise Australia (FEA) developments have a unified voice in dealing with the myriad of issues and seeking the best commercial outcomes for growers. On 15 June 2010 FEA Growers Group was incorporated as a non-profit incorporated association under the Associations Incorporation Act 1981 (Vic) under the name FEA Growers Group Inc registration no A0054610B.
It is apparent that there are many individuals and organisations taking or considering separate legal action, which may be more beneficial if coordinated effectively. This avoids the possibility that individual efforts, however well intentioned, may be counter-productive to achieving the best outcome possible for all.
Game Plan
Our objectives are of significant scale and are not limited by sequential success.
UNITY is a key issue in being able to lobby politicians, government agencies, receivers, administrators, possible commercially interested parties and industry groups.
The Trees are our collective assets and we need to act intelligently to ensure that we are taking appropriate action, so that we do not have what is rightfully and morally ours, taken away from us for the benefit of others.
LEADERSHIP is key.
We are focused on gaining significant levels of support from growers, dealer groups, and other interested parties to enable us to have scale in working through lobbying and commercially viable options.
We also ask any industry groups (both forestry and financial), current or former employees of Forestry Enterprise Australia, and commercially interested parties to register their interest in supporting the protection of growers and obtaining a commercial outcome if possible.
There are no guarantees. However it is certain that if we are not coordinated, if we do not show UNITY, if we do not lobby, we will find ourselves subject to outcomes solely dictated by others who may have positive grower outcomes far from their primary focus.
We will develop and implement strategy that is focused on protecting our assets and legal rights.
We have no doubt there will be attempts to terminate our legal agreements and extract value morally due to Growers for the benefit of secured creditors.
The FEA Growers Group will attempt to thwart such attempts and help ensure Growers get fair commercial value in this difficult environment of Administration and Receivership.
There are NO GUARANTEES but if we do not attempt to fight we will all be dissatisfied by the outcomes.
YOUR SUPPORT is needed to protect YOUR INVESTMENT.
