Rob Burns is CEO of BCP Group Services, one of the largest integrated Financial Services businesses in South West Sydney. Rob has served on the Mater Dei Board since 2000. Rob is an experienced business professional who is a strong strategic thinker who brings a driving passion, knowledge, and professionalism to the FEA Growers Group Initiative.
Rob has developed a reputation for an intelligent and pragmatic approach that is solution oriented in respect of MIS Scheme failures. He has represented Growers of other Schemes in four different Supreme Court matters.
Vice President - Andrew Cochrane Adv.Dip.FS (FP) FChFP AFP (Senior) - Director & Principal of Cochrane Shaw Capital Management Pty Ltd, a boutique financial advisory firm which was established in 1991 and is one of the original members of the FEA Growers Group.
Andrew has served on the Board of Management of a not-for-profit aged persons' advocacy organization for 10 years from the mid-1980s to mid-1990s.
Andrew has been advising the public since 1981 and currently oversees client investment portfolios of approximately $75 million in total. Andrew is a significant investor in FEA Plantation Forestry Projects and fully committed to the FEA Growers Group Initiative
From a growers perspective Andrew has significant personal investments in the 1999-2000 FEA Trust 7 Project.
Secretary - Mike Butler
Michael Butler is the Head of Compliance for the AFS group and represents the interests of AFS advisers and clients on the FEA Growers Group. He has had over 30 years experience in Financial Services including over 20 years with Westpac where he had extensive dealings in Commercial Lending and Asset Management and Investigation roles. He has been involved in Creditors Committees with Great Southern and consultative committees involved in other insolvencies.
Treasurer - Richard Brown CPA CFP (Financial Planning) Bachelor of Business Studies (RMIT)
Richard is the Director and owner of Abound Lifestyle Planning, a Senior Financial Adviser and has extensive experience in financial planning, accounting and tax having been in the profession for over 20 years now. The firm has been serving those just north of the city since 1992/93.
Apart from business life Richard has served on many local & community based sporting club boards including Medway Golf Club as director / Treasurer for 12 years whereby he was part of a major course transformation this required careful planning and strategic delivery.
Richard is both Plantation investor and shareholder of FEA.
David Haintz
David is one of Australia's more prominent and experienced advisers. He is an immediate past director of the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA), and was the sixth adviser in Australia to be awarded a Fellow of the FPA, is a Certified Financial Planner, has served on the FPA Disciplinary Committee for 7 years, the FPA Professional Standards and Ethics Committee since 2004 (now Professionalism Committee), and was a National Judge at the FPA's inaugural Value of Advice Awards in 2006. He is a founding trustee of the Future2 Foundation (the Foundation for the Financial Planning Profession), and lectured at the Securities Institute of Australia (now FINSIA) for 6 years.
He remains the only adviser in Australia to be awarded the two prominent awards in Australian financial planning - Australian Financial Planner of the Year (2005), and Australian Best Practice of the Year (2004).
He has worked in the financial planning industry for over 21 years.
David has an intimate knowledge of FEA being a non executive director at the time of listing on the ASX in 2000.
He is a significant investor in number of the FEA Plantation Forestry Projects.
Richard Latham CFP
Richard Latham has worked in the financial services sector for 40 years, the last 26 as a Financial Planner. He is a director of Tassec Financial Planning P/L, a large, well established Hobart based Financial Planning practice, as well as a successful hospitality group of companies.
Richard has been recommending FEA woodlots to his clients since 1992 and has extensive knowledge of the FEA MIS model.
Richard has been an investor in every FEA forestry project since 1994.
Terry Lynch B.Bus, FCA
Terry Lynch is a Director and Senior Partner of CLM Chartered Accountants in Hervey Bay, Queensland.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Registered Tax Agent and Registered Company Auditor.
After spending 9 years in the audit department of Toowoomba's largest Accountancy Practice, Terry moved to Hervey Bay where he has been a senior partner in the region's largest firm for the past 25 years.
Terry has been heavily involved in the Hervey Bay Community being a life member of both the Apex Club and the Rugby League Club. He is a former City Council Alderman and currently Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce.
Terry is a shareholder in FEA and has numerous clients who are plantation investors.
